Setting you up for success
Having a plan always makes training more successful. We need to be proactive about our training plan, down to every detail. Doing so helps training sessions run smoothly and more efficiently.
Download this PDF for you to fill out and decide what rewards you will use during your training with your dog, and what you will stay away from.
First, decide with the whole family involved so that you are all on the same page, and post this somewhere everyone can easily look back on (or have everyone take a photo and save it in their phone) before a training session.
Over the next week, try these things out and do some research of your own to see if your dog actually enjoys these things! Look at their body language and see what they are telling you when you use each reward.
Use the highest value rewards when dealing with distractions and new situations.
