covid – 19 and your pets

Hello, fellow animal lovers,

Amongst the challenging times with the Pandemic going on – I figured it was important to try and help pet owners concerned about Covid-19 and their pets by providing links to get proper information about this subject.

At this moment according to the CDC and AVMA there is no observed risk of pets contracting Covid-19 from infected people or evidence of pets transmitting it to other pets or people.

Although it is always a good idea to practice proper hygiene before and after interacting with a pet from outside your home and inside your home.

Washing your hands and keeping them away from your face is a good idea.

Below are a few links and a PDF download from the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) about further information. It is important to note the date these articles and FAQ’s are updated when checking these websites as well!

On a Personal note: I do believe that refraining from petting other dogs you meet on a walk or in public is a good idea until more information is known about this virus. In turn, if you are walking your dog – you can always say no if someone wants to meet your dog.

Right now, this is not affecting any of our services at Loyal Paws (as we are online-based) and we are going to be releasing some sales for those dog owners who wish to make the most of their time at home with their dogs!

I hope all of you are doing well and taking precautions to help lessen the spread of this virus. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Until next time,

Happy Training, One Paw at a Time!
